Congratulations Students

JANUARY 2023 - Healing Partners of the Central Coast (HPCC) would like to congratulate students who recently completed their first Healing Touch (HT) course, Foundations of Healing Touch. It was the largest HT class on the Central Coast, since the onset of the pandemic!

Class members included nurses, family therapists, a clinical counselor, a chiropractor, and others who wanted to learn this integrative therapy. Being a medical professional is not required in order to take the HT classes.

The class, held January 21-22, 2023 was made possible by Community Hospital of the Monterey Peninsula (CHOMP), who made their Outpatient Services conference rooms available for the training.

HPCC is an integral supporter of local Healing Touch classes. We recruit instructors for all class levels, support the class coordinator by finding volunteers to help facilitate the class, and partner with CHOMP and Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital for training locations. Local classes support HPCC’s mission of recruiting HT students as volunteers and extending HT into new healthcare settings.

Amazing Finish for MCGiVES!
2022 Fundraising Campaign

DECEMBER 2022 — Healing Partners of the Central Coast (HPCC) is overwhelmed by, and deeply grateful for, the way local residents and our constituents responded to our MCGiVES! 2022 Fundraising Campaign. Your donations brought us to the unexpected achievement of raising over $100,000 during the event, which ran from November 11, through December 31, 2022. In addition to the funds raised, HPCC will be awarded an additional amount in the form of a prorated grant from event organizers on the first $75,000 raised. You can see how HPCC did in comparison to other nonprofits at MCGiVES!

Participants must apply to be included in this amazing philanthropic event. HPCC is honored to have been chosen for the second year. “We were very excited to be included in the campaign again in 2022, and for the amazing response from the community for our cause,” said Debra Saxton, Executive Director. “We couldn’t have reached such heights without everyone’s support.”

My Provider helped me tremendously in my sessions and was a high point of every week during chemo. The care extended into my home life as well, with helpful information on meditation, relaxation, and positive mindset.
